Specsavers Opticians is the largest opticians in the UK, with almost 2,000 locally run businesses. Specsavers operate a joint venture partnership model which helps to ensure all Specsavers opticians and audiologists are able to concentrate on what they do best. Stores offer optical services, eyeglasses, contact lenses and hearing aids to their customers.

Objective

We have worked with a number of different Specsavers stores up and down the UK, but the objective of their promotion always stays the same. That is to drive footfall into Specsavers stores and encourage appointment bookings with carefully worked promotions.

Mechanics

We have worked with a number of different Specsavers stores over our long relationship with the brand and the mechanics of a promotion can vary. Typically, it will see us providing promotional staffing to over 20 different locations on a continuous basis.

These promotional staff will be tasked with engaging with members of the public and informing them of an upcoming or current promotion such as £10 Eye Test’s or even Free Eye Tests. They will also help to work on educating customers on the importance of getting your eyes tested.

We love to be seen as well so often we will incorporate some fun, engaging promotional materials such as Oyster Card Holders, Balloons and Goody Bags. This helps to reinforce the brand for our audience as well as draw in their attention to the promotion.

Outcome

Throughout the promotions we have carried out with a number of different Specsavers stores we have seen incredible success rate in increased customer footfall both on the day of the activity and the days and weeks directly after. Each of our campaigns where promotional staffing has proven to provide a ROI (return on investment) in excess of 100% has been achieved.
