Our product sampling campaign with Candy Can was designed to drive brand awareness in the UK (as they’re from across the pond) and promote their limited edition flavour, Toffee Apple, created in collaboration with the hit Warner Bros. film ‘Wonka’.


We took to the streets of three major cities: a busy train station in Birmingham, Manchester’s famous shopping district, and the film premiere in London. We chose to sample at these locations at the weekends due to their high footfall.

At each location, brand ambassadors handed out cans and leaflets whilst wearing branded jackets to stand out… and keep warm! We also utilised specialist branded sampling backpacks to allow the ambassadors to walk around and engage more people.


The activations at the three locations saw us distribute over 13,000 cans and lots of consumer insights!

For example, the younger generations were more drawn to the product, and grandparents said they would purchase it for their grandchildren. Many people also shared that they would now go ahead and buy the product to drink whilst watching the film on the big screen.
