Post-Pandemic Events And Keeping Your Business Safe

23rd April 2021
 /

We will soon start to see events return and offices reopen, and undoubtedly there will be a huge focus on ensuring upmost safety as we finally near the end of the 3rd UK lockdown since the Covid-19 pandemic began. We have recently seen numbers of infections fall to record lows whilst the vaccine rollout is proving a huge success, particularly here in the UK, which I’m sure you’ll agree is so encouraging to see!

However, caution must be maintained. It’ll be all too easy to get carried away with normality as soon as the 21st June arrives and large events are allowed to return, so join us as we take a look at the best buys for ensuring life post-Covid stays safe and sanitised!

Will Offices Ever Be The Same Again?

As the vast majority of office workers have been working from home for just over a year now, in just a few months’ time once-busy offices could start to slowly welcome employees back. However, being an environment where germs easily spread at the best of times, employers will need to be seen as doing all they can to promote a workplace that is safer than ever before.

79% of people working remotely in 19 countries surveyed said they do not wish to return to their workplace, according to Forbes, based on Accenture’s new consumer survey. The survey also reveals that workers want to do a split between homeworking, the office, and even a ‘third space’ – a location other than their home or office, as ‘many express that they want flexibility in how and where they work moving forward’.

So clearly, for businesses hoping employees will return to offices and large events after 21st June, there is plenty that can be done to encourage them that safety has been carefully and fully considered, even for the smallest of things.

Making Your Business Or Post-Pandemic Event As Safe As Possible

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) has been the word on everyone’s lips this past year. Safety during the Coronavirus pandemic is paramount, and there are strict Government guidelines relating to reopening businesses and venues in England. Online Merchandising and Branding Specialists, etc. Branding, have seen sales of PPE continuously soar – personalised face masks with branding are increasingly popular, especially as non-essential shops have reopened and restaurants and pubs for outdoor dining too. You can even customise your own face masks – see how here!

Hand Sanitiser

Refillable mini bottles for hand sanitiser, as well as pocket-sized sanitiser sprays and keyring versions, are all great to have out at your event for attendees to take and keep, without breaking your budget! Larger quantities of pens are now being purchased so that people can keep and re-use them, where sharing such items is now a thing of the past.

Antibacterial & Antifungal Pens

Did you know that pens with built-in continuous antibacterial and antifungal protection actually exist? Biofree additive is built into the plastic barrel and continues to clean the pen of microbes and other pathogens whilst you use it, without wearing away. This is great for companies in the healthcare and food sector in particular – just another added safety step for extra peace of mind. Learn more about these fascinating pens here.

Antibacterial & Antifungal Notebooks

Antimicrobial trolleys

Notebooks with similar antibacterial, antifungal coverings to kill germs and protect anyone touching them after someone else has are also available – ideal when handing out notebooks at events. You can now even source a specially designed ‘Hygiene Hook Keyring’ with a finger hole for easy holding, featuring a flat stylus tip and handy door hook so that you don’t need to touch anything or come into contact with commonly touched areas when out and about. What’s more, supermarket trolley coin holders and trolley handle shields (which can even be branded!) are also available with the addition of the antimicrobial additive, reducing the spread of bacteria and germs on the surface of recycled plastic by 98%.

With a virus as spreadable as Coronavirus around, these sorts of ingenious ideas are invaluable for employees going back to workplaces and for protecting event attendees as much as possible. The steps might only be small, but they could make a real difference.

The Post-Pandemic Future…

We’re clearly entering a new territory and learning how it’s all going to pan out in the short and longer term after the Coronavirus pandemic eventually becomes a thing of the past (hopefully sooner rather than later, although we won’t get too ahead of ourselves!). It will be very interesting for all to see and experience the changes to everyday home and work life resulting from Covid-19. These will undoubtedly take some time to get used to, yet we’ve all managed and adapted so much this past year already and should be proud of how we have done so – I’m sure we’ll have no problem doing so again!
