Nothing Feels Better Than Helping Charity!
Adhering to a set of rules is the perfect way for a business to maintain its principles and to self-guide along a particular path. This is why GottaBe! has ‘The GottaBe! Bible’, a handbook for every staff member where anything GottaBe! can be found.
One of the key beliefs in The GottaBe! Bible is that once a quarter, each member of staff must complete a day of charity work. This is something that our Managing Director – Tomasz Dyl – feels very passionately about and makes sure is always achieved.
Helping Charity By Volunteering At Community Roots
Recently, members of our team have been volunteering at Community Roots in Southampton, a fantastic charity that is also supported by our client – Ideal Collection – who own a collection of Bars, Restaurants and Rooms, in Hampshire and West Sussex.
About Community Roots
Community Roots has a large-scale allotment that is thriving in the summer sun, vegetables, herbs and fruit crops are popping up across the beds and poly tunnels. In the coming weeks a social area is being constructed for cooking demonstrations, barbecues, woodworking and craft sessions.
The allotment holds a very strong place in the hearts of many of its volunteers, as Community Roots is a charity that helps support, train and provide work experience opportunities for those that have experienced homelessness, mental health, alcohol or substance misuse issues. The scheme helps nurture skills, team working and builds self-esteem and allows the more vulnerable in society to escape the distractions of everyday life.
As mentioned previously, the allotment is heavily supported by our client – Ideal Collection – who under their Ideal Foundation, have really been getting behind Community Roots. They use the produce grown in the allotment in their very own kitchens, as well as getting volunteers into their professional kitchens to produce delicious foods, such as homemade chutneys.
This is a fantastic cause and something GottaBe! is really proud to get behind and help support. The benefits of having something like The GottaBe! Bible is a brilliant way of adhering to principles and making sure everyone in the office is on the same hymn sheet.
