How GottaBe! Adapted To Survive The COVID-19 Pandemic

Here at GottaBe! We like a challenge. One challenge we certainly didn’t anticipate was the COVID-19 pandemic that swept across the world. That one caught us off guard for sure. Like everybody we made sure to batten down the hatches and brace for what was coming. Unfortunately for many businesses, despite preparing, the loss of profit has hit too hard to recover from. For others, they were able to prepare for store and office closures and found continued success through online services and e-commerce. We’re proud to say that we found ourselves in the latter.

Supporting Clients With Protecting Their Staff During The COVID-19 Pandemic

As a marketing agency we initially worried that work would stop coming in with most brands cancelling their planned marketing activities , however we simply put on our thinking caps and reassessed how we could be of help right now. Thus the answer: to support our clients with protecting their staff. Two particular campaigns we’re referring to is with our clients Western Union and OLA Cabs.

Supporting OLA With The Procurement And Logistics Of PPE

OLA had asked whether we would be able to adjust our work for the time being to provide procurement and logistics devices for them. We put ourselves to work immediately, sourcing PPE and sanitising products for the company’s drivers. Having managed to secure the products we turned our office around to accommodate the thousands of incoming products that we then cleaned down, boxed up and sent them out.

Updating Brand Materials For Western Union

With Western Union it was a retail based campaign whereby we travelled to a large number of their agent locations to implement branded materials that mark out the safe distances to be at from staff and other customers. We also added other printed materials reminding individuals about staying safe and careful during these unprecedented times.

Continuing Our Work In Support Of Our Clients

By working with the these clients on the aforementioned activities we were able to achieve three things simultaneously that makes us even prouder of this work: we supported our clients with these responsive campaigns, we managed to continue working with our clients during a time where many agencies are closing due to a lack of work and also that we were able to get involved in ensuring the safety for the agent locations/drivers and also their customers. This is especially crucial with footfall in the high street up 38.8% as of Monday, according to the BBC.

It’s this chameleon-like adapting, to the new world that surrounded us, that meant that we were not only able to weather the storm, but also continue to remain busy. So, thank you to our team, you’re rockstars!

Preparing To Reopen? GottaBe! Can Help You With Your Re-Opening Strategy

There are still many businesses due to reopen who may still wondering how best to ready themselves for reopening on either on a date of their choosing or on Saturday 4th July with much of the hospitality industry. This is okay and something that we can and would be more than happy to help with. We will be sharing a separate post on how best to do this but if you are in fact interested in learning more about how to do so or would like to discuss your current re-opening strategy and whether it needs any additional measures, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We would be more than happy to help. Stay safe and stay sane!
