GottaBe! have recently been given the opportunity to run a photography competition event for the 50 Years of Southampton celebration. The agency is involved in all aspects of the event from the planning, implementing and reporting and the team are buzzing in the office to support the city in such an important event.

As a local business who has been established in Southampton for over 6 years, we are delighted to have been given the opportunity to run and manage this exhibition during this exciting time for Southampton. – said Tomasz Dyl, Managing Director of GottaBe! – The number of students is  doubling and more and more people choosing Southampton as their home city. The team and I are looking forward to receiving your entries so send them in now – said Dyl.

From 1964 to today, Southampton has changed a phenomenal amount. From being known as the main port in England, to one of the most culturally diverse cities in the UK. Now with a population of 242,100, up almost 50,000 in just 50 years. The city has grown and grown and is continuing to do so. The famous docks, which Southampton were previously known for, have now been turned into a vibrant, modern marina full of restaurants, bars, shops and luxury apartments. Summing up the new Southampton.

The photographs submitted by the public will be showcased at a month long exhibition in February 2015 and GottaBe! is providing an exciting distinct opportunity for the public to exhibit their own photographs.

As this is a celebration of the city of Southampton, we want to get as many people from Southampton involved. We don’t just want the keen photographers, we want every single person in Southampton to get involved. From the kids in the local primary schools, to the elderly who can remember that historic day when Southampton finally became a city – sums up Dyl

We will be sending more information out in the near future but the event is to be launched on the 22nd September 2014 and we are looking for photos from the past 50 years within the city of Southampton.
