Global Banking School (GBS) is a higher education provider offering a range of industry-focused courses across seven campuses in London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Leeds. In partnership with several leading UK universities, they deliver vocational, undergraduate, and postgraduate programmes in banking and finance, business and management, and healthcare. GBS aims to help students in the competitive job market, they take an inclusive approach to recruiting students to widen access to higher education among groups currently under-represented in the sector.
Objective

We won the bid against some of the UK’s top agencies to support Global Banking School (GBS) with the launch of their new campus in the City of Leeds. Our objective was to reach the South Asian and Eastern European communities and encourage them to register with GBS. After our success in Leeds GBS asked us to support them with their recruitment campaign at their Greenford campus.

Mechanics

The mechanics of the campaign saw our team book over 50 out of home sites, print, radio, and TV campaigns.

Our out-of-home sites were positioned in excellent locations within the communities to reach the target audience, from bus stops to local Ethnic food shops where we placed mechanising flyers and posters.

GBS additionally asked us to create a radio advert. We secured time across 6 different stations in Leeds targeting the South Asian and Eastern European communities. Then again secured the GBS Greenford radio advert to be played across 4 Ethnic radios stations in the Greenford area.

A vibrant animated TV campaign is aired on SKY and SONY TV aimed to encourage ethnic minorities to apply for GBS.

Along with out-of-home sites, radio adverts, and TV campaigns we are running newspaper campaigns in South Asian and Eastern European community papers in both the City of Leeds and Greenford.

Outcome

Throughout the campaigns we have carried out Global Banking School has seen an increase in footfall to their websites and through sign-ups. We here at GottaBe! are hoping to continue to support GBS after the continual success at the Leeds and Greenford campus.
