Founded in 1934 by Keith Spicer, Dorset Tea is a British tea brand offering products designed to add sunshine to your day. From its humble beginnings, when Keith would blend teas in his Bournemouth kitchen, Dorset Tea is now a leading tea brand in the UK!

Objective

Our goal in bringing Dorset Tea to the Dorset County Show was to boost brand awareness and loyalty within our home county of Dorset. The county’s annual show provided an excellent opportunity to achieve this.

Additionally, being present at the event enabled us to gather consumer preferences through direct engagement with our Brand Ambassadors.

Mechanics

We handled all logistics and promotional staffing for this show, which included a team of two Brand Ambassadors and one Event Manager responsible for operating the Dorset Tea Pop-Up and branded caravan.

Our team sold Dorset Tea merchandise, distributed sample packs, and served both iced and hot tea in various flavours to event attendees.

Outcome

The Dorset County Show proved to be a major success for the brand with our team setting a new personal best for “most cups of tea sold on a Saturday.” This milestone proved the event’s strong turnout and the brand’s popularity among attendees. The Brand Ambassadors connected meaningfully with customers, many of whom were long-time fans of Dorset Tea. This engagement generated invaluable insights, including feedback on product preferences, such as a demand for Earl Grey in loose-leaf form.

There was also significant interest in purchasing products online, with many attendees opting to take vouchers for future purchases. Feedback on specific blends, particularly the Sunshine blend, highlighted its popularity, with customers inquiring about its availability in supermarkets.

Overall, the event was a great success, blending sales achievements with deepened customer relationships and invaluable consumer insights.
